About

I'm Aggie Branczyk, the founder of Quantum Salon. I'm a physicist by training, with experience across both academia and industry, and a passion for communication.

I did my PhD at the University of Queensland in Australia, then moved to Canada for a postdoc at the University of Toronto. After that, I spent seven years at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, where I taught quantum theory and led a research program in quantum optics. Lastly, I worked at IBM Quantum, in both technical and leadership roles.

Aggie Branczyk

I've always been drawn to helping people understand each other. Whether working at the intersection of theory and experiment, research and software, or academia and industry, I always found myself translating between communities.

Quantum Salon is a natural extension of that.

Origins

It was 2024 and I had just left IBM looking for a new challenge. As I was exploring different directions, quantum startup founders started reaching out to get help explaining what they were building and why it mattered.

This became the focus of my business and Quantum Salon was born. From there came the Insights newsletter and now we're developing new tools for visualizing and exploring the ecosystem.

With our network of collaborators who bring complementary expertise, including website design, go-to-market strategy, and video production, we can support clients across both narrative and execution.

We're big on strategy, but we understand how startups work in practice, especially early on. We know that sometimes it's not possible to plan too far ahead, that priorities change, and that a lot of the roadmap might exist only the founder's head. We work in a way that reflects that reality.

Need help with communication?

Whether you're working on explaining your technology to different stakeholders or thinking through your broader communication strategy, we'd love to chat and see if we can work together.

The quantum ecosystem brings together scientists, engineers, investors, business leaders, policymakers, and more.

Our mission is to help them all understand each other better.
